Juicing and supplements

As I am doing a post on supplements I would like to say that this is not any sort of health advice and I am not a nutritionist. This is just an opinion and my personal preferences.

Just to start things of I am not a vegetarian. I am not into cleanses or anything like that.
What I am into is good food and I love, love fresh juices and herbal teas.

So I thought I would share my favourite juice recipe and talk about some supplements that I am taking.

I absolutely love veggie juices in general, this one I could drink like all the time (I don't, everything in moderation, you most definitely can have too much of a good thing).
It isn't an exact recipe because as anyone who juiced carrots (or anything else for that matter) knows that they don't always make the same amount of juice even if they are identical size.
1-2 celery sticks
4-5 medium/small carrots
1 medium tomato (or about 8 cherry tomatoes)
a fey sprigs of parsley

This makes a glass. I normally like to make more than a glass, so I just add more carrots, more tomato and parsley. I don't usually increase the amount of celery.

Why I like it: Because it tastes great! Honestly I  can not drink something just because it is healthy. I try to listen to my body. If you have a healthy diet, you start to develop healthy cravings (if you suddenly want oranges, or when you can have a lemon without sugar and you don't find it sour, you most likely need some vitamin c etc). So if I really hate the taste of certain something I do not have it.

If you want to read up on parsley this is a great thorough overview from wholefoods.

Now to my supplements.

This is what I have plus I also have vitamin C as an emergency type thing. When there is an outbreak of flu or I feel like I might be coming down with something, I take vit C and 9 out of 10 times I don't get sick.
I am not majorly into supplements because I believe that you need to try and get most things like vitamins and minerals from your food. And the second reason is that I just genuinely forget to take them.

So from left to right:

Krill oil by well well well inc.
According to my bottle this is a more readily absorbable variety of fish oil. Comes with 60 capsules. You are supposed to take 1-2 a day with breakfast. So a bottle will last 1-2 months. I can't really comment on the effectiveness of this because I keep taking them for a few days and then forgetting to...

Pukka organic bio nutrients Vitalise.
Now this is truly special. I got it to help with my energy levels as I was getting really tired at work (being on your feet for 8 hours a day is not as easy as it used to be). And this really helped me, I don't know how but every time I take this I just have so much more energy. You are supposed to take 3 capsules 2 times a day, the bottle has 90 vegetarian capsules. I don't take that many, I wouldn't be able to sleep if I did, I take 3 in the morning on the days when I sort of wake up tired or if know it will be a physical day.( This is just what I do, it might not work for you)
This is info from the box:

Pukka organic bio nutrients Clean Greens.
I just got this so I haven't used them yet. I am hoping that they will work just as great as the over ones.

This is the info from the packet:

So where do you stand on supplements? Do you have a favourite juice recipe that you like to share?
